Finding Relief: My Journey with Medications and Adaptogens

Good Evening,
Once again, apologies for the long delay between posts. Changing my meds has thrown me for a loop. I’ve been pain-sick for most of the last month, and being pain-sick means I’m also not able to think as well as I would like to. I saw my doctor yesterday and requested to return to my first regiment. He agreed, so starting tomorrow, I should be almost human again. Today, I could play in the pool and do a short workout. Physically, I’m sore, but mentally, I feel so much better being active again. This last month, every time I try to do something, I’d have lightning shooting up my muscles, and this makes it very hard to do anything.

This is a short informational blurp since I haven’t had the mental capacity to research recently. While the medications doctors prescribe don’t always touch our pain, sometimes a holistic approach will help. One herb that I use a lot because it’s called an adaptogen herb is Ashawanda. This herb helps control stress, a massive thing for people with chronic pain; it’s known to help with sleep, it can help balance hormones and reduce inflammation. It’s not a miracle herb, but it’s helpful for me; while it helps
